We are looking for an aspiring junior solar PV Business Development Engineer who is fluent in Afrikaans. Someone who enjoys travelling since this opportunity will see you spending 70% of your time on the road driving through desert landscapes! You will need to be someone who is practical, technically minded and an extrovert considering that you will be heading off to see potential clients and advising them on the feasibility of solar PV for their operations! We are looking for someone who wants to forge a career in the solar photovoltaic space and is a commercially minded person who enjoys working with cutting edge technologies, such as entering the floating solar systems!!!
You must be a hunter by nature and driven by goals in order to meet your KPI’s and find the right clients who will act quickly on your solutions. You will enjoy research and understanding the market and where the sweet spots lie! You will find yourself preparing technical site visit reports for the engineering team and you will execute the preliminary solar PV designs, custom made to the needs of the client. Not only will you be leading the sales efforts of the firm, but you will also be on-site, ensuring that strict quality control measures are planned and executed efficiently! You will find yourself working closely with the construction managers and project managers as a development representative, ensuring schedules are running on time and as expressed to the client. If you have an engineering degree or BTech with experience using CAD or solar design software, you are the perfect fit for this opportunity.
